'Live Downtown' in Farmingdale Sunday
Festival runs from 4-7 p.m. Sunday and includes area bands, food and entertainment.

'Live Downtown’ comes to Main Street in Farmingdale on Sunday July 14, presenting local talent, dining and family events.
Main Street will be closed from Croxley’s to Corner Café, then again at the Library Café to Cara Cara from 4-7 p.m.. Front Street, Conklin and Prospect Streets will remain open. Family events are planned for the Farmingdale Village Green.
Two bandstands will be set up on each end of Main street for the live local talent: They include:

- Flip Trick, a three-piece skate punk band formed in Farmingdale, include front men Danny Graham on bass, Kyle Ciuzio on guitar and Jake Dickinson on drums.
- Sargasm, a four-piece rock band from East Meadow.
- Nifty Breed, a Long Island-based alternative rock band formed in 2006, with members Matty Marcus, Brian Connors and Nick Lagnese.
- MacSeal a Farmingdale pop rock band formed by the Barlett brothers
- Black Honey, a blues-rock group, with members Ryan Costello (lead guitar), Matthew Ferrara (rhythm guitar) Mark Morales (drums), Zack Reyes (bass) and Dakota Clayton (vocals) and the soulful acoustic guitar of Charlie Dane.
The Shark 94.3 will also join in on the music on Main Street.
The event is co-sponsored by the Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce, The Shark and the organizers, the Farmingdale Downtown Master Plan implementation Committee.
