Nostalgia Of Bethpage Wins Best Live Music On Long Island Award

Immerse yourself in the 1990s era. "The atmosphere is unlike any local venue," co-owner Sean O'Connor said. "It's very untraditional."

BETHPAGE, NY — At Nostalgia in Bethpage, people can go out for a night of 90s and early 2000s nostalgia. They can also take in award-winning live music production.

Nostalgia, located at 380 N. Wantagh Ave, Bethpage, won Best Live Music on Long Island in the 2025 FourLeaf Best of Long Island Awards for the second year in a row. Mulcahy’s Pub and Concert Hall is the only other business to win the category, which dates back to 2022.

"It's truly an incredible feeling to see the community we built together with the local musicians —and to have that support from them, family, and friends," co-owner Sean O'Connor told Patch. "So much work goes into planning the calendar and setting up these shows/events, it's such an overwhelming feeling to be acknowledged by all of our supporters."

O'Connor is joined by Pete Dragone, Tom Angenbroich, and Costas Themistocleous in the Nostalgia ownership group.

Nostalgia rebranded from One Eye Jacks in 2022 and has become a more specialized business.

"The atmosphere is unlike any local venue," O'Connor said. "It's very untraditional — from having a specific theme, the interactive decor, the intimate feel of the show with the crowd being so up close and personal to the bands/artists, the fortunate ability to have some big name acts such as John Hampson (Nine Days), Trevor Penick (O-Town) Fred Mascherino (Taking Back Sunday), MikelParis (O.A.R.) and many more."

Most of the Nostalgia calendar is filled with local bands and artists of all genres, O'Connor said.

"This diversity caters to every music lover looking for a fun night out," he said.

The ownership core has decades of combined experience as musicians and in the service industry, O'Connor said.

"While separately working other jobs coinciding with their roles at Nostalgia, we tried to build this place to cater to building a community of musicians, excelling in the customer experience with our aesthetics, and still survive long term as a business to bring many years of memories to all who walk through our doors," O'Connor said. "We hope we achieved this and continue to grow with everyone."

Nostalgia's menu features foods and drinks named after iconic characters from the 90s and 2000s.

Tommy's fried pickles or Chuckie's chicken fingers and fries basket represent "Rugrats," for example. Or try Heffer's classic baked wings, an ode to "Rocko's Modern Life."

If you're thirsty, wash the food down with a Duff Beer, the iconic brew from "The Simpsons" or your choice of other several beers on tap. Nostalgia also features wine, liquor, champagne, Jello shots and cocktails.
