Pedestrian Dies Of Injuries Suffered In Farmingdale Crash
The woman who was struck by a cement truck less than two weeks ago has died, police said.
FARMINGDALE, NY — The pedestrian who was struck by a cement truck earlier this month in Farmingdale died of her injuries on Tuesday, Nassau police announced Wednesday.
A 47-year-old man was driving the cement truck northbound on Main Street when he made a left turn onto westbound Conklin Street and struck Josephine Halby, 69, of Farmingdale, police said. Halby suffered severe body trauma and was airlifted to a local hospital, police said. She was pronounced dead by a hospital physician on Tuesday.
The operator of the cement truck remained at the scene, police said. No other injuries were reported.
