Photo: 50-Year Member Honored

A special presentation was made recently to Olinto Parenti, a 50-year-member of the South Farmingdale Fire Department.

Olinto, a member of Engine Company No. 1, earned the respect of his fellow firefighters over the years through his dedication, professionalism and his expertise., firefighters said.

Town Councilman Anthony D. Macagnone, Nassau County District Court Judge Rhonda Erin Fischer and state Assemblyman Joseph Saladino presented Parenti with the honor at the department's Annual Installation Dinner and praised the new officers and the department’s members for their outstanding efforts on behalf of the community.
