Question: Left Turns on Fulton

when their cars collided on Fulton Street in Farmingdale, Nassau County Police reported.

One car was driving west on Fulton Street as the other car was on Nelson Street driving across Fulton to make the left when the cars collided.

Police said there is no criminality suspected at this time and that the investigation is ongoing. 

Commenters on the original report of the accident cited that the left on Nelson is particularly dangerous because it falls below a hill causing decreased visibility. Some argued that no left turns should be allowed across Fulton because of the speed of traffic and other reasons.
