Vice Doughnuts And Coffee Of Farmingdale Wins NYS Empire Award

FARMINGDALE, NY — Vice Doughnuts and Coffee of Farmingdale was presented with the 2024 New York State Empire award, New York State Sen. Steve Rhoads announced after presenting the owners with the certification.
This award acknowledges businesses in New York state demonstrating "remarkable community philanthropy and operational excellence," according to Rhoads's office.
Vice began as a food truck selling doughnuts and coffee in 2020 and then opened its first storefront in Massapequa in 2023. The business has grown to include a full café at 314 Main St., Farmingdale.

Vice boasts an "impressive commitment to quality" with in-house made doughnuts, using 100 percent non-GMO ingredients, as well as offering gluten free and vegan items, according to Rhoads's office.
"As Farmingdale residents and owners, Joe and Gina O'Brien have consistently proven their dedication to community betterment and supporting those in need, highlighted by their fundraiser for fallen police officer Jonathan Diller's family and Joe's service in the Army and FDNY," Rhoads's office stated. "Senator Rhoads offered heartfelt congratulations and appreciation to the O'Briens for their tireless community efforts!"
