Whiskey Down Diner Supports Pediatric Cancer Charities With Gold Milkshake
Luke, the son of one of the diner's co-owners, beat neuroblastoma. Pediatric cancer is "very special and close to our Whiskey Down family."

FARMINGDALE, NY — Whiskey Down Diner introduced a Golden Oreo Milkshake for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in September. Gold is the color used to symbolize pediatric cancer.
"September is a time of year that we honor children and survivors affected by pediatric cancer, a cause that is very special and close to our Whiskey Down family, in order to raise awareness and continue the research and treatment of the disease," Alyson Kanaras, co-owner of the diner, wrote on Instagram. "Portions of the proceeds this month's shake will be donated to some of our favorite childhood cancer foundations. Thank you for the support always on this cause!!!! Enjoy!"
Whiskey Down Diner is located at 252 Main St., Farmingdale. Siblings Alyson, John and Kristina own the restaurant.
