- On Tuesday, Nassau County legislators unanimously adopted partial suspension of the county sales tax on gasoline to ease high gas prices. (News 12)
- An East Meadow man was arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated with young children in the car. Dave Edwards was driving on East Meadow Avenue Sunday and hit another car that was stopped at a traffic light at the intersection of Jerusalem Road. Officers found his 3-year-old and 5-year-old daughters in the backseat. (News 12)
- A Carle Place Episcopal church that closed will reopen in about a year with efforts to revitalize. The diocese will bring in a new priest to St. Mary's along with local parishioners from other churches. (Subscription: Newsday)
