John Legend To Headline Benefit Concert At UBS Arena

ELMONT, NY — Grammy-winning singer/songwriter John Legend is coming to UBS Arena.

The platinum-selling Legend will headline Northwell Health's "Side By Side" music series on May 29.

Jason Derulo will open the benefit concert.

Tickets go on sale on Friday at 10 a.m. For every ticket sold, 100 percent of the proceeds will go to fund Northwell Health’s military programs.

It marks the 4th installment of "Side by Side" during the Memorial Day Fleet Week festivities, canceled for the past two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We should never take for granted the freedoms we enjoy in this country or forget our heroes in the armed forces who will stop at nothing to protect those freedoms. We are honored to host ‘Side by Side: A Celebration of Service’ for those very reasons – to honor our service members," Michael Dowling, president and CEO of Northwell, said in a statement.

Prior to the UBS show, Northwell Health will celebrate active-duty military, veterans and their families with a free block party on May 28 at Flatiron Plaza in New York City. That event is open to all.

It will be hosted by actor Alfonso Ribeiro, with a special appearance by Questlove.
