- A large fire spread through townhomes and damaged three to four units Wednesday night in Syosset. Fire departments answered a call after 10 p.m. Wednesday at the Hidden Ridge Condominiums. (News 12)
- Former Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano was sentenced to 12 years in prison on public corruption charges. His wife, Linda, was sentenced to 15 months in jail. (Patch)
- Mount Sinai South Nassau is proposing a $35 million investment in Wantagh. The plan calls for a vacant Verizon building on Wantagh Avenue to become a one-stop-shopping medical office complex with the latest in cancer care, cardiology, diabetes, radiology, women's care and endocrinology. (Patch)
