  1. Police are searching for a missing Hempstead mother and her one-year-old son. Diego Sierra-Flores, 1, was last seen at his residence in Hempstead on April 1 around 5:30 a.m. and is believed to be with his mother, Yansis Sierra-Mejia. (News 12)
  2. A man police say is part of the Crips street gang was arraigned today on multiple charges after a weeks-long crime spree ended in a shootout with Nassau County police officers. Jonathan Vazquez, 20, of Bay Shore, was arraigned on two counts of first-degree attempted murder, second-degree attempted murder and first-degree assault among other charges. (Patch)
  3. Police are searching for two men who shot at a couple outside the Roosevelt Field mall on Wednesday. It happened around 6:30 p.m. outside Nordstrom in the garage on the second floor. (News 12)
