Veterans Day Parade Will Feature Pop-Up Vaccine Tent
The parade and ceremony will be hosted by the American Legion in Elmont.

ELMONT, NY — The American Legion Post 1033 is holding its annual Veterans Day parade on Thursday morning.
Nassau County Legislator (D- Lawrence) welcomes the community to the event.
It is scheduled to step off from the American Legion at 60 Hill Avenue in Elmont at 10:30. The parade will proceed to Veterans Memorial at the corner of Hempstead Turnpike and Covert Avenue.

A Veterans Day ceremony will take place there at 11:11 a.m.
Following the commemoration service, refreshments, donated by Solages' office, will be served at Post 1033.

Along with the parade, a pop-up clinic will be available in the American Legion parking lot. Attendees can get COVID-19 or flu vaccines. That will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
