A beautiful beginning to the season in Hewlett. Chabad of Hewlett has had many events this past Fall from the High Holidays to the 10th Anniversary Gala Event: Celebrating a Decade ~ Building for the Future. This started with various Chanukah celebrations. The entire Hewlett community came out, with the help of Avi Karadi, for the Grand Menorah lighting on Broadway to enjoy music, Latkes and the miracle that is the Festival of Lights.
In the latter half of December, Chabad of Hewlett hosted 6 events including the daily menorah lighting. Drinks and Dreidels was a great success. A Women's Circle pre-Chaunkah event, Menorahs & Martinis, was extremely successful as well. An unbelievable amount of women packed into the home of Rivkie Tenenboim to create beautiful granite menorahs and enjoy a demo and drinks by Perri Senders Kaye. So many Young Jewish Professionals gathered to celebrate Chanukah together at Jacob Scheiner's residence. The Jewish Kids Club of Hewlett had a party organized by program director Miriam Wilensky and there were not one but two Chanukah events at Grant Park! Families came on Tuesday for skating and Latkes and then again on Thursday for some amazing indoor activities with more latkes, donuts and the lighting of the beautiful Ice Menorah.
There is always something happening in Hewlett. Join the fun at Chabad of Hewlett.
