Third Arrest Made In Huntington Station Robbery Spree
Two individuals were arrested last week for their involvement in the robbery spree, police say.
UPDATED: A third individual was arrested for his involvement in a robbery spree, which mainly occurred in Huntington Station, over a six-week span, police say.
Yamil Torres, 26, of Huntington Station, served as an accomplice for three robberies that occurred on Wednesday, Nov. 21, police say. (see below for list of robberies)
He was charged with three counts of first-degree robbery.

He is being held overnight at the Second Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday morning at First District Court in Central Islip.

A man and woman were arrested on Thursday, Nov. 22 for their involvement in robbing five stores, including four in Huntington Station, over a six-week span, police say.
According to authorities, 35-year old Huntington Station resident Carlos Garcia would enter the the businesses, indicate he had a gun and demand property. Police say 53-year-old Huntington Station resident Angela Reilly drove Garcia to and from the three robberies that occurred on Sunday, Nov. 21.
The following businesses were struck:
- Metro PCS, located at 1699 New York Ave. in Huntington Station, on Thursday, Oct. 18 at approximately 7:20 p.m. Read more here.
- Metro PCS, located at 139 Bay Shore Road in Deer Park, on Sunday, Nov. 18 at approximately 5 p.m.
- Agua Express, located at 207 Lowndes Ave. in Huntington Station, on Nov. 21 at approximately 8:35 p.m.
- Deli Pupuseria, located at 200 West Jericho Turnpike in Huntington Station, on Nov. 21 at approximately 8:45 p.m.
- Deli Pupuseria, located at 10 Depot Road, Huntington Station, on Nov. 21 at 9:10 p.m.
Garcia was charged with five counts of first-degree robbery while Reilly was charged with three counts of first-degree robbery.
They are scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on Friday. The investigation is continuing.
