HUNTINGTON STATION, NY—The last location of infant supply giant Buy Buy Baby in Suffolk County will close in March, the retailer announced. The Buy Buy Baby in the Huntington Shopping Center, 350 Walt Whitman Rd., is closing, along with other tenants in the shopping mall, Five Guys and Applebee's.

The Huntington Buy Buy Baby has been in business since 2000, and will leave Suffolk residents without a dedicated physical retail option for baby registries, strollers, cribs and more.

Newsday reported that the shopping center's owner, Federal Realty, said the retailer will close the 58,148-square-foot store by March.

"After careful consideration, Buy Buy Baby has decided to close the Huntington Station location in the coming months and we previously shared this information with our valued associates. While the decision to close a store is always a difficult one, we look forward to serving area customers at our store in Garden City, as well as online at buybuybaby.com and our mobile app," Buy Buy Baby said in a statement.

Whole Foods is coming into the shopping center, which will get a $75 million upgrade.
