Huntington Considering Adding New Parking Penalties
Check out the details of the parking penalties the town is considering.

The Town of Huntington is considering a change to improve parking issues at the train station and in the shopping district.
The resolution being considered by the town board would add additional penalties if drivers fail to answer parking violations or pay within 30 days of the ticket.
According to the resolution, the new policy proposes an automatic guilty plea if drivers do not answer the violation, and non renewal of the vehicles permit or a boot on the tire.

Failing to respond to a ticket can also result in a denial of town-issued permits for commuter parking, taxies and other licenses, according to the resolution.
A public hearing is scheduled to discuss the resolution on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
