Long Island Sons Of Italy Columbus Day Parade
The parade route will take place along Main Street in celebration of Columbus Day.

The Annual New York Grand Lodge's Long Island Sons of Italy Columbus Day Parade will take place in Huntington on Sunday, Oct. 7. The parade route will follow along Main Street in celebration of Columbus Day at noon.
The event will recognize the 113th anniversary of the Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America through the celebration of Italian heritage, culture, authentic Italian costumes and performances by high school marching bands. This year's theme is "The Legacy Continues...2018!"
The 1.5-mile parade route will be take place on Main Street in Huntington Village. It starts at the intersection of Park Avenue and West Main Street and continues to West Neck Road and West Main Street.

Several high school marching bands will perform, including ones from East Meadow High School, W.T. Trespar Clarke High School, Walt Whitman High School, Islip High School and Deer Park High School.
This year's Grand Marshals for the parade are NYS OSDIA President Robert M. Ferrito, Huntington Town Supervisor Chad A. Lupinacci, News 12 Anchor Antoinette Biordi, and Dr. Vito DeSimone, Ph.D., Italian Media Personality.

This celebration coincides with the annual Long Island Fall festival at Heckscher State park.
The parade is hosted by the Town of Huntington and the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce.
