Huntington Police Blotter: Gold Rings Stolen From Jeweler

HUNTINGTON, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? These are recent incidents reported in the Huntington area from July 21 through July 27.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

Arrests

• July 27: Daniel Sherlock, 29, of Huntington, stole $3,490 worth of glasses from a store at 160 Walt Whitman Road, within the Walt Whitman Shops mall, on July 11, police said. Sherlock stole approximately $2,994 worth of sunglasses from the same address on July 25, police said. He gave police officers the wrong name, police said. He was arrested and charged with third-degree grand larceny: value of property more than $3,000, fourth-degree grand larceny: value of property more than $1,000 and false personation, police said.
• July 23: Christopher Kology, 42, of Huntington Station, stole gold rings from Priceless, a jewelry store at 1899 New York Ave., Huntington Station, on July 23, police said. He was arrested and charged with third-degree grand larceny: value of property more than $3,000 and petty larceny, police said.

Incident

• July 21: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Walt Whitman Road in South Huntington at 1:30 p.m. Someone stole property from LensCrafters, police said.
