Huntington Station Armed Robberies May Be Connected: Police

Both robberies occurred on Monday night.

Police say it is possible that two armed robberies that occurred in Huntington Station on Monday night are connected.

According to authorities, a masked man robbed Pizza Hut, located at 1888 New York Ave., at gunpoint at 9:50 p.m. The man fled the scene on foot southbound on New York Avenue. Police described the robber as 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a slim build, Spanish speaking, and wearing black pants, a blue hooded sweatshirt, full ski mask and gloves.

A masked man then robbed Tropical Deli, located at 184 Depot Road, at gunpoint at 10 p.m. Police say the man was wearing a black mask, black gloves, and a red hooded sweatshirt with "Puerto Rico" printed on the front with a small Puerto Rican flag.

The stores are abut .7 of a mile away from one another.

Additionally, a Cold Spring Harbor gas station was robbed at gunpoint on Sunday night.
