Huntington Station Man Drove With 80 License Suspensions: Police
The driver was stopped for not wearing a seatbelt, police say.
HUNTINGTON STATION, NY — A man was arrested Thursday after police said he was caught driving with 80 license suspensions.
An officer stopped the man in his Toyota around noon in a parking lot on 1662 New York Ave. after seeing the driver without a seatbelt.
The driver, Walter Castilla Ochoa, 45, of Huntington Station, was found to have 80 suspensions on 13 dates, police said. The vehicle was impounded.
Castilla Ochoa was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a felony, police said. He was held overnight and scheduled to be arraigned on Friday in First District Court in Central Islip.
