Inaugural Long Island Pizza Festival Coming To Halesite
The event is "a celebration of Long Island Pizza!" It will include pizza, a competition, adult beverages, live music, bocce and more.

HALESITE, NY — Slice lovers will have their pie in the sky.
The inaugural Long Island Pizza Festival is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sept. 13 at Mill Dam Park, located on Mill Dam Road, in Halesite. Tickets are available here. Each session costs $70.
The event is "a celebration of Long Island Pizza!" the organizers wrote. "Taste the best of LI Pizza with live music, vendors, competitions, beer and wine garden and more!!"

The first pizza tasting session is slated for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., while the second session is slated for 4 to 9 p.m. A bocce tournament is also scheduled for the first session.
A home-making pizza lesson and competition is scheduled for 1 to 3 p.m.

"Long Island's First Ever Celebration of all things Pizza!" the organizers wrote. "Come taste from Long Island's Best Pizzaoila, with styles ranging from classic New York, Neapolitan, Roman, Detroit, and more!!"
People can choose from two sessions, browse vendors, enjoy live music, and attend lectures on pizza making.
General admission grants an individual access to unlimited pizza at one of two sessions, as well as access to the vendor market, beer gardens, concert field and more. Children under 10 are free.
The festival has confirmed pizzerias for both sessions: Taglio, Mimmo Tolomeo, 1653 Pizza, Rosa's New Hyde Park, Tiso T's Pizza, Carlotti's Wood Fired Edibles, Corato Pizza Truck, Slice of New York.
Confirmed music includes Coastal Calm, Corina Rose, Candy Shop, Serve the Servants (Nirvana Tribute, Millenial Mixtape, with more to come.
