Steve Stern Defeats Aamir Sultan For NYS Assembly District 10
The Democratic incumbent has maintained his seat.
SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY — Democratic incumbent Steve Stern has defeated Republican challenger Aamir Sultan to keep his NY 10th Assembly District seat. Newsday called the race for Stern on Wednesday afternoon.

Suffolk County Board of Elections workers had difficulty loading memory cards needed to tally the vote, officials said late Tuesday.

- Steve Stern: 25,879 votes
- Aamir Sultan: 21,843 votes
The 10th district covers Huntington, South Huntington, Huntington Station, Huntington Bay, Cold Spring Harbor, Lloyd Harbor, Dix Hills, West Hills, Melville, and part of East Farmingdale.
