The new coronavirus has changed life for all of us. Local businesses have taken a huge economic hit, but communities are finding creative ways to support the establishments they know and love.

Tell us about your business and its history in your town.

Suite Pieces is located in a building that is over 100 years old. After 40 year of being the Yankee Peddler, Suite Pieces came about! Suite Pieces is a vintage furniture and DIY boutique. Our stores are filled with carefully curated items and creatively restored pieces.

We carry popular lines like easy-to-use furniture paint, General Finishes, Artisan Enhancements and a wide variety of brushes, stencils, hardware and many other fabulous supplies for your furniture project. We offer a full line of workshops, technique classes and events.

We are also home to over 30 artists and artisans selling vintage and made goods — small business supporting other local small businesses!

How has the new coronavirus impacted your business and its employees?

We are currently closed for in-store shopping and have reduced our hours.

How can local customers support you now and in the future?

Shop on our website and choose curbside pickup or shipping. Customers can utilize our Virtual Consultation, and we now offer DIY Sign Kits! Crafting, creative fun for the whole family.

Do you have any words of encouragement for your community?

We are hoping to inspire, bring joy and boost spirits in a uncertain time.

Are you offering any special services, promotions or hours during this time?

We are open Tuesday through Saturday for curbside pickup and shipping. We offer FREE shipping for DIY product purchases over $50 with code FREESHIP50 on our website. We have been doing weekly, interactive Facebook LIVE videos on our Facebook page. The Shops at Suite Pieces have been hosting Virtual Vintage Shopping Events, were you can browse and buy vintage and made goods from our vintage marketplace. In the next coming weeks, we will be hosting a virtual auction where 100 percent of the proceeds will go to local hospitals to raise funds for PPE equipment.
