The Paramount Gears Up for 500th Show on March 24

Taking Back Sunday to perform at the celebration at Huntington Theater.

The Paramount in Huntington, the live music and theater venue that first opened in 2011, is gearing up for its 500th show on March 24 by hosting a concert with Taking Back Sunday.

“This is an exciting milestone for our venue,” the theater’s directors said in a joint statement.

As a thank-you to fans The Paramount will give out free gifts on March 24 to the first 500 people through the door and autographed Taking Back Sunday posters to three attendees, including the first person to walk through the door, the 250th and the 500th.

The event is Taking Back Sunday’s fourth concert at The Paramount.

“The Paramount is my favorite venue to play on Long Island,” band-member Shaun Cooper said, in a statement.

“We are so fortunate to have such a great sounding establishment right in our own backyard,” he added. “We are honored to be the 500th show there.”

Upcoming performers include Jeff Beck, Michael Bolton, Primus, Slayer, Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt and Bollywood Star A.R. Rahman.

Tickets for the the Taking Back Sunday show were no longer available Wednesday, but the band is also performing Wednesday and Thursday at The Best Buy Theater in Manhattan.
