Repairs To Close North Parking Garage On Tuesday
These repairs are part of $11.35 million in grant funding for infrastructure improvements NYS recently approved for the Town.
Damaged roadway joints in the north parking garage at the LIRR Huntington Station will be replaced starting Tuesday as part of the Town of Huntington’s $11.35 million safety improvement project.
Commuters are encouraged to use overflow Municipal Parking Lots 18 and 22 on the west side of New York Avenue while the project is underway. Town Supervisor Chad Lupinacci said: “This is in addition to our newly announced plans to renovate the north and south parking lots, replace the elevator in the North Parking Garage and repair the Town-maintained footbridge over the tracks to the North Parking Garage, thanks to the $11.35 million dollars in grant funding for infrastructure improvements the State recently approved for the Town.”
The grant funding was announced by local officials on Friday, Oct. 26. The funds will go towards parking infrastructure improvements at the LIRR Cold Spring Harbor Train Station and the LIRR Huntington Train Station.
