'She Went Above & Beyond For My Grandkids': Huntington Local Hero

HUNTINGTON, NY — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

I nominated Laura because she went above and beyond for my grandchildren who lost their parents — my daughter and son-in-law — to a horrible accident. She gave them a Christmas that we will never forget; she helps everyone in need.
