Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Parts Of Long Island
The latest details on a storm that will begin impacting the region late tonight.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for parts of Long Island. It's in effect from 10 p.m. Thursday until 10 a.m. Friday for northern Nassau County and northwestern Suffolk County.
The weather service says those areas should expect combined snow and sleet accumulations of a coating to an inch. A light glaze of ice is also possible.
Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute.

Any snow should change to a mix of freezing rain, sleet and rain after 4 a.m. near the coast with a transition to plain rain by daybreak, the weather service says.

Thursday Night- Snow likely before 2am, then snow and sleet between 2am and 4am, then sleet after 4am. Steady temperature around 33. Wind chill values between 20 and 25. East wind 6 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total nighttime snow and sleet accumulation of around an inch possible.
Friday- Rain, freezing rain, and sleet before 2pm, then a slight chance of rain between 2pm and 4pm. High near 40. Wind chill values between 20 and 30. East wind 8 to 17 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Little or no ice accumulation expected. New sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Friday Night- Partly cloudy, with a low around 21. Wind chill values between 10 and 15. Northwest wind 11 to 17 mph.
Saturday- Sunny, with a high near 33. Wind chill values between 10 and 20. West wind around 11 mph.
Saturday Night- Mostly clear, with a low around 26. West wind 8 to 10 mph.
Sunday- Sunny, with a high near 43. Breezy.
Sunday Night- Partly cloudy, with a low around 20.
Monday- Sunny, with a high near 31.
Monday Night- Partly cloudy, with a low around 21.
Tuesday- Partly sunny, with a high near 41.
