Greenport Man Nabbed In Drug Bust After 'Extensive Investigation': Police

A search warrant was executed and the man, 40, was arrested in Greenport, police say.

NORTH FORK, NY — A Greenport man was arrested during a Friday drug bust, police said.

According to Southold Town police, the incident took place at noon on Knapp Place. Marcus Ameden, 40, was arrested and charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony; and criminal use of drug paraphernalia, police said.

On Friday, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s East End Drug Task Force and Southold Town Police executed a court-authorized search warrant at 209 Knapp Place, authorities said.

The search warrant was the result of an extended investigation conducted by the EEDTF into drug sales on the North Fork, police said.

Ameden was arrested, processed and held for arraignment, police said.
