Elwood Seniors Named National Merit Commended Students
They are two of only 34,000 Commended Students recognized nationwide for their exceptional academic achievement.

ELWOOD, NY — Elwood-John H. Glenn High School seniors Demetrius Crichlow and Davin Li were recently named Commended Students in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program, the Elwood School District announced.
They are two of only 34,000 Commended Students recognized nationwide for their exceptional academic achievement. Their high scores place them among the top 50,000 students who took the 2023 PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
"We are extremely proud of Davin and Demetrius and congratulate them both on this outstanding recognition," Principal Corey McNamara said in a news release. "Both students are role models here at the high school while demonstrating the qualities and core values of John Glenn Knights both in and out of the classroom."
