5 Things: 1930s Cartoons and Post-Psychedelic-Folk-Art-Rock

1. See a film (on actual film). Head to LanchPad for Tom Stathes Cartoon Carnival 14: Food Fun, rare food-related animated cartoons from the 1910s-1940s. Come and experience the latest Cartoon Carnival screening--shown in real 16mm film, with a real projector.
2. Hear some post-psychedelic-folk-art-rock. Peter Tascio plays @ Branded Saloonat 10, preceded by the jazz of Junior Lunch at 9.

3. Try something new (for free!). Class One Mixed Martial Arts and CrossFit, located at 85 4th Ave., will have . To celebrate, free classes will be offered all day from 10 am to 4 pm. Class One features a broad range of martial arts including MMA, Boxing, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling, Sanda (Chinese style kickboxing) plus the most complete fitness program CrossFit.
4. Run. This Sunday, thousands will gather at Central Park to participate in The More Magazine/Fitness Magazine Women’s Half-Marathon, celebrating its 10th Anniversary. Didn't sign up in time? You can still head to the park to cheer on those who will be pounding the pavement!
