Bee-Line Bus In Friday Night I-95 Crash, 7 Taken To Hospital
The driver of a car involved suffered a severe leg injury, while other passengers on the bus were treated by EMTs, according to officials.

RYE, NY — A crash involving a Bee-Line bus on I-95 left at least one person with severe injuries and seven others taken to the hospital.
On Friday, at 10:08 p.m., the Rye Fire Department was dispatched to Interstate 95 northbound just past Exit 19 for a crash with reports of a car and bus involved. The first units on the scene confirmed one car, a Toyota 4-Runner, and one bus, a Westchester County Bee-Line bus, were involved in a collision.
The driver of the car was removed from the SUV and placed in the care of EMS with a severe leg injury, according to fire offcials.

Passengers on the bus were evaluated by EMS.
In total, seven were transported to area hospitals, and the remaining passengers transferred to another bus. Crews remained on location for scene safety, spill mitigation and overall accident cleanup until well after midnight.

In additon to the Rye Fire Department, area first responders with a wealth of experience dealing with emergencies on the busy stretch of the New England Thruway, including Port Chester-Rye-Rye Brook EMS, American Medical Response, Harrison EMS, Mamaroneck EMS, a Westchester County EMS coordinator, and New York State Police, rushed to the scene.
Additionally, mutual aid from Rye Brook and Port Chester stood by in their quarters to cover any additional calls while Rye firefighters were engaged at the crash scene.
