The New Tennis Courts At Rye Recreation Ready To 'Serve Up' Fun And Games
Press release from the City of Rye:
- Cost approximately $700k reimbursed by FEMA
- 4 Hard Courts created
- Over 100 trees and shrubs with more to come, including additional pollinator gardens
- New stone dust walkways
- Bleacher seating for each court
- New LED lighting
- New fencing on courts and Har-tru Courts 5 and 6
- Enhanced drainage and soil stabilization utilized in construction
- Removable net posts creating a multi-use area when tennis is not in season
- Dedicated pickleball courts moved to Tennis Courts 1&2
