Rye Farmers Market Returns

The Down to Earth Rye Farmers Market brings small scale farms and food makers to town on Sundays through November

The Down to Earth Rye Farmers Market has returned to the center of Rye for its 21st season. Shop with regional small scale farmers and food makers on Sundays from 8:30am to 1pm in the parking lot off Theodore Fremd Ave., behind the Purchase Street stores.

This year Fino Farms, Newgate Farms, and certified organic Norwich Meadow Farm will provide locally grown fruits and vegetables. New vendor Flowering Sun will bring their organically grown mushrooms, certified organic SOVA Farm will have eggs, meats and dairy products, and Yellow Bell Farm will have pasture-raised chicken and eggs. P&S Seafood will return with locally sourced fish.

Favorite bakers will be back with artisan breads, bagels, pies, cookies, granola, gluten-free options and more, and food makers will bring their pickles, sauces and pantry staples.

As part of Down to Earth's environmental focus they have partnered with Green Tree Textiles to collect unwanted clothes and household textiles every Sunday (look for the big green bin).

The best way to get news about the market and its vendors, including a list of vendors scheduled for that week, is to subscribe to the Rye Farmers Market newsletter here. You can expect a weekly check-in on seasonal offerings, recipes and vendor specials.
