The remarkable young man mapped thousands of veterans' graves. A few more helping hands could help pull off something really special.

RYE, NY — A Westchester Eagle Scout has spent countless hours to make sure that the sacrifices of local veterans are not forgotten. Now, he needs your help getting across the finish line.

Volunteers are needed Saturday for a community service project to honor veterans at the Greenwood Union cemetery.

"Since last year, I have been researching and locating the placement of every Veteran buried at Greenwood Union Cemetery, here in Rye," Pellegrini explains. "I need 200 volunteers to join me in placing new flags on each one of the graves I have identified as being a Veteran. All flags will be provided. You will be sent out in teams of 3 . You may sign up as a single or you can sign up as a team. If you sign up as a team, choose "quantity 3" when signing up. If you are signing up as a team of 3, at least one member of your team must be 14 or older."

The project, ahead of the Memorial Day celebrations, offers an opportunity to mark the upcoming observances in a visually stunning way.
