5 Fundraising, Art-Related Events Taking Place This Week

The list for the week includes fundraising events and events that don't require power.

We start every week with a list of events going on locally throughout the week you could check out. Since power is out still in much of the town and locals are left recovering from Hurricane Sandy, here are some events going on that do not require power or are in areas of town that have had power restored.

Block Chiropractic 20th Annual Food Drive

Starting at 10 a.m. Monday you could drop off non-perishable food items to Block Chiropractic, located at 301 Maple Avenue in Smithtown.

LEGO Club at the Smithtown Special Library District

Head over to the Nesconset branch of the library district at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday so your kids in grades 2-5 could play with Legos.

Bring $40 to the bar on Friday at 7 p.m. to help raise money for Down Syndrome Connection of LI.

Head over to the Smithtown branch of the library district Tuesday at 7 p.m. to join fellow writers critiquing work and more.

Free Chirpractic Care for Hurricane Sandy Relief Workers All Week

Block Chiropractic is offering free chiropractic care to all first responders and emergency relief workers all week long. The closest Block location is with Dr. Block in Smithtown.
