Smithtown Patch reader "Pam" said in the comments on a question we posed Friday -- "Better Shopping Day: Black Friday or Small Business Saturday?" -- that people aren't shopping enough.
"New York now has a buget [budget] gap 170.8 million since July, and we currently are looking at a gap of 259.8 million for the fiscal year. In order to close that gap revenues will have to go up 5.1% in the last five months of this fiscal year," Pam wrote.
