  1. Smithtown resident, Edward E. Bohm, was sentenced on Tuesday, Aug. 30, to two years in prison for an $8.9 million fraud scheme. Bohm was the chief of the Mortgage Lender and pleaded guilty in February 2019 to his involvement in wire bank fraud. (Daily Voice)
