Event Spotlight: Jazz Improvisation Courtesy of the Township Arts Council

If you're an aspiring jazz musician or a seasoned jazz veteran, head to the Mills Pond House in St. James on Friday to play with others or sit and enjoy some jazz improvisation, care of the Smithtown Township Arts Council.

The event is set for 7:30 p.m. and it costs $5 to play, but is free for listeners. 

"Jazz in the Living Room" is led by jazz pianist Ranny Reeve, a Kings Park native who has been a jazz composer and music teacher for 50 years.
