Firefighters Deliver 26-Foot Box Truck of Supplies to Breezy Point
The firefighters of the St. James Fire District also put together $450 of their own money to pick up batteries, underwear, socks and more.

The St. James Fire District held a supplies drive Friday and Saturday for the Breezy Point Volunteer Fire Department and the Breezy Point community, which accrued enough donations to fill a 26-foot box truck.
Dan Jordan, 20 year member and former chairman of the St. James Fire District, was impressed by the generosity, which came from far and wide.
"People came from all over to drop off donations including a woman who drove all the way from Rockland County with a pick-up truck loaded with supplies and donations," Jordan said via email. "She could have stopped at any of the dozen drop off centers between Rockland and St James but wanted her donations to go to Breezy Point. People are really amazing."
