Have You Ever Test Driven A Benz SL-Class Roadster?

The brand new Competition Mercedes-Benz dealership on Middle Country Road in Smithtown is a virtual palace in glass and shining chrome and steel. Inside the showroom is an airy space with a variety of Mercedes models carefully arranged to allow for sufficient ogling and drooling.

While we did not take a test drive, it's hard not to imagine yourself sitting in the SL-Class Roadster, tunes pounding out of the speakers, hair flying in the wind with the top down.

The sticker says this model Benz comes with a 4.6 liter V-8 turbo engine. It cranks out 429 horses and has a 7-speed automatic transmission. All this (feeling of awesomeness comes standard it seems) for a manufacturers suggested price of $105,500.
