  1. A homecoming parade will fill the grounds of the Memorial Field Park, marching down to Main Street in support of the Kings Park Central School District Varsity Football team. The community is invited to show its support of our local athletes on Saturday, Sept. 24, at noon. (Smithtown Matters)
  2. Long Island welcomes the season of pumpkins, leaves and hay stacks! Access a complete guide of places to go pumpkin picking in our area and enjoy some fall fun. (News 12 Hudson Valley)
  3. The Brick Clay Studio Gallery in St. James is putting together an outdoor pottery and craft sale to raise donations to support Ukraine. On Sept. 24, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., bowls, vases and more will be available. The proceeds will be donated to the World Central Kitchen, a nonprofit organization that provides meals for victims of disasters. (Patch Events)
  4. Smithtown Running the Bull kicks off on Sept. 24! The starting line is at the New York Avenue School at 26 New York Ave. Late runners can register at the event at 8 a.m. The race starts at 9 a.m. (Smithtown Chamber of Commerce)
  5. The students at the Accompsett Elementary School in Smithtown are helping to fight childhood cancer. A total of $1,522.58 was raised by the school community on Friday, Sept. 16, to be donated to research. Principal Hellmuth and little warriors indeed made a difference. (Smithtown School District)
