  1. Save the date for the annual "Smithcon" hosted by the Smithtown Public Library on Saturday, Nov. 5. Comic lovers will have a blast with the free community programs created by our librarians.   2. Attention Smithtown teenagers, the Town of Smithtown Youth Bureau needs you! Young volunteers are needed for the pumpkin sale hosted by the Calvary Lutheran Church at 820 Townline Rd., Hauppauge, during the October weekends. Teens will earn community service credit.   • Smithtown Recreation Department is calling all crafters in our community to participate in the Tender Years Treasury of the Smithtown Senior Citizens Department, which will be hosted on Dec. 3 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event features a craft fair with handmade items created by Smithtown Senior residents.
