Lake Grove Man Kills His Wife, Then Himself: Police
The husband and wife, found dead in a murder-suicide Sunday, were the owners of a local Italian restaurant.

LAKE GROVE, NY – A Long Island man fatally shot his wife and then killed himself at their apartment Sunday afternoon, Suffolk Police said.
A 911 caller told police that while conducting a wellness check, a man had been found dead at 184 Hallock Road in Lake Grove. Fourth Precinct officers responded to the scene at about 1:20 p.m. and found 69-year-old Varujan Manougian dead from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
His wife, 67-year-old Barbara Manougian, was found in her car that was parked directly outside of the apartment building a short time later with a gunshot wound, police said.

It is believed that Varujan Manougian shot his wife before going inside and killing himself, police said. There was no one else in the home at the time of the incident.
The Manougians were the owners of Barbera Pasta e Vino, an Italian restaurant in St. James.
