Mills Pond Students Raise $800 For American Heart Association With Hoops For Heart
Students gathered together to compete in a three-point challenge, relay races and basketball games.
SAINT JAMES, NY — Mills Pond Elementary School fourth and fifth graders participated in Hoops for Hearts, which raised more than $800 for the American Heart Association, on Thursday, the Smithtown School District announced.
The students gathered together to compete in a three-point challenge, relay races and basketball games.
News 12 Long Island interviewed students, as well as fourth grade teacher Kristin Quail, and fifth grade teachers Melissa Taylor and Diana Lanze. Everyone spoke about the importance of keeping healthy and active.
