Nesaquake Middle School Has 'Color Run' Fundraiser: 'We Crushed Our Goal'
The run raised $20,800 for the school's cultural arts program and PTA events as Principal Dan McCabe got slimed.
SAINT JAMES, NY — Nesaquake Middle School Principal Dan McCabe is willing to do many things for a great cause — including getting slimed.
Many students were powdered with a rainbow of colors to help support the school’s cultural arts program and PTA events by participating in the Nesaquake PTA-sponsored color run, the Smithtown School District announced. The highlight was seeing their principal get slimmed.
"I am proud to say we raised $20,800," Nesaquake PTA President Claudia Pira said in a news release. "We crushed our goal. We have the best community and we are so much stronger together."
