Paws Of War Visits Smithtown Elementary School
Paws of War supports veterans, active military members and first responders with programs through the rescue and training of service dogs.
SMITHTOWN, NY — Members of Smithtown Elementary School’s Pay It Forward Club welcomed representatives from Paws of War, a local charitable organization, on Nov. 7, the Smithtown School District announced.
Speaker Mike Kilano, along with dogs Boba and Bailey, stopped by for multiple assemblies to educate young learners about the organization.
Paws of War supports veterans, active military members and first responders with programs through the rescue and training of service dogs. Paws of War have rescued more than 600 dogs and cats since 2014. It has provided hundreds of veterans with support animals.
