PHOTOS: Empty St. James Storefront Sees New Life
The Getty on Lake Avenue is no longer vacant as Lukoil opens Thursday.
Earlier this month Patch reported would take over located at 255 Lake Avenue in St. James.
This gas station is now open.
Co-owner of the gas station Tariq Mahmood placed a sign that reads "We are now open" in all capital letters between pumps Thursday.

While the gas station is now open, Mahmood said more changes are coming, including opening the convenience store, service shop and changing the signs. The convenience store is set to open next week, followed by the service shop, and the signs have no estimated date to be changed, according to Mahmood.
