Police: Employees Pocketbook Stolen from Workstation

An employee’s pocketbook was reported stolen from Quality Packaging Merchandise in Smithtown, according to police.

Police said an employee of Quality Packaging Merchandise, located at 201 Commack Street, reported the purse stolen on Jan. 13 from her workstation. The employee left her pocketbook and when she returned it was missing. The black pocketbook contained cash, her social security card and store credit cards.

A police investigation is underway.
