- Kick'N Chicken is now open in Smithtown, serving Nashville-Style with various dips options! The eatery at 20 E. Main St., Smithtown, is the second location on Long Island. Owner Ryan Carroll said the first restaurant was open in Farmingdale. Carroll created the menu inspired by a trip he made to Tennessee. (Smithtown Patch)
- For new voters in New York, the deadline for voter registration is today. New York's 2022 election is on Tuesday, Nov. 8. Visit the New York election website to register online. (Elections NY)
- This is the month ghosts and goblins will invade Smithtown! The Smithtown Recreation Department will host the event on Oct. 22 at Browns Road Park in Nesconset. Free of charge, all are welcome! A non-perishable food item donation is encouraged to help the Smithtown Emergency Food Pantry. (Smithtown Matters)
- The Annual Fall Harvest Festival kicks off on Saturday at St. James Episcopal Church. For those who enjoy shopping, antique items will be sold. Food and children's activities will be available. - Nearby News: Two siblings were injured in a hit-and-run- incident on Granny Road in Coram. The teens, Tyler Philips and Krystal Randolph, were walking near Middle Island Road when an unknown driver struck them. They both were taken to Stony Brook Hospital.
