  1. Detectives are asking anyone with information on Rachel Nugent, 14, from Kings Park who they believe may have taken a train to New York City or traveled out of state on Saturday. Nugent is described as 5-feet-1-inches tall and weighing about 145 pounds with short black hair and braces. Anyone with information, contact 911 or 631-854-8452. (Subscription: Newsday)
  2. Long Island Sound restoration received a $31 million boost from the federal government. The Sound restoration projects include planting new greenery to stem stormwater runoff, salt marsh restoration at Sunken Meadow State Park in Kings Park, North Shore oyster plantings, and programs to remove abandoned lobster traps, monitor water quality and help homeowners install new septic systems.   3. Suffolk County police arrested Andrew Ramsaroop, 30, of South Ozone Park, Friday night and charged him in connection with the rape of a 13-year-old girl in Hauppauge earlier this month. He met the girl via Snapchat and met her at the mall, later that day he met her at a playground on Devonshire Road in Hauppauge, where he raped her, police said. (Subscription: Newsday)
  4. According to police and sources, three women were killed on Saturday evening in New Hyde Park by an accused drunk driver after they left a Sweet 16 party. Dante Lennon,22, from Freeport, was charged with a DWI and three counts of Vehicular Manslaughter, after his Mercedes-Benz sedan rammed into the Lincoln Town Car carrying a driver and five other passengers, the Nassau County Police Department said Sunday.
